Meeting called to order by President Don Brown

Thank you to Stadium International for sponsorship and refreshments for this meeting.

Reading of the minutes of the NYHMA Central Chapter, May 14 2014 meeting were presented for approval. Motion made to accept as read, seconded, and accepted.

Treasures report submitted and read for approval by Gerald Ratliff, for Treasurer Dan Elderbroom,
Motion made to accept as read, seconded, and accepted. Copy is on file with secretary.

Old Business;
• The emergency contact phone book report of progress was submitted by George Toper, all information has been forwarded to the printers. The lay out is being organized for the printing. It is hopeful for a November printing. MPC Printing which printed the 1999 editions has the job. Any one that knows of Towing Services that would like to be in the emergency contact book let us know.
• It was reported that a check from the Central Chapter for the summer seminar prizes is still missing and needs to be cashed. If you know who was the $50.00 winner of check # 333 please advise them to contact the treasure or cash it as soon as possible.
• Elections were held for the position of 2nd vice-president as per the bylaws, Don Brown has completed his 2 years and Keith Sutliff has moved to president, Gerald Ratliff to 1st Vice-president. The floor was open for nominations for 2nd Vice-president 1 nomination was presented for John McFadden of Oriskany CSD. Polls were closed and motion made for the secretary cast 1 ballot for John, motion was seconded and accepted. All other officers are to stay the same.
• The secretary notified those present that this will be his final year for this position and has requested that a member be searched for to fill this position.

New Business;
• The treasure submitted a report that 72 members have filed and paid the membership fees and of those many had not submitted the information forms for updating all data. Please check the attached list to see if your origination has not updated the information needed.
• Please check the list of paid members to see if your origination has paid the annual dues.

NYSDOT; No representative was available for this meeting.

Vendor Information;
• Stadium International, thanks for your support and thanks for attending.
• Leonard Bus Sales, Rob Frost they have ATR Allison rebuilt transmissions available that carry a 4 year warranty for Buses only, recommends that all Espar or Webasto heaters be started and tested before the cooler season come upon us and change needed filters, all A/C units should also be prepared for winter with protection of condenser fins, fuels issues of moisture in fuel keep your eye on your system.
• Bus Parts warehouse, Bob Learned presented a replacement LED light that replaces the H3 Bulb of the warning lights by Weldon with the reflector attached. Advised everyone that the Bus Parts Warehouse web page is up and running and if you would like to use it contact them for log on procedures.
• Red’s Equipment, Mona presented a report on the Red’s Equipment issue with the employees that have left her company to start their own Lift Inspection company. She stated that these persons are not representatives of Red’s Equipment. That all that have used her company in the past, present and the future, she appreciates all your support and if there are any issues or questions please feel free to contact her any time. Mona had stated that for the past 6 years they have been preparing a lift industries protective inspection program that will be nationwide very soon. If you have any questions on this program contact Mona.

Round Table:
• George from ESM presented a LED lamp assembly that was rejected as a warranty due to cracks in the base plastic, hoping to have a NYBS represented to offer an explanation of the Sound Off rejection. It was noted that these lamps are mounted by Blue Bird with a steel screw through an aluminum bushing that when rust forms and expands causing this to happen. A few noted that they replace the mounting screws with stainless steel to prevent this from happening. Discussion took place on all the LED light issues.
• Gerald of Liverpool Micro Bird turn signal switch control by body control module, this needs to be checked for issues, 3 radiators all metal are found to be cracking at corners possible twisting motion, Micro Bird with micro switch that activates warning lights with body twist or temperature change had to remount switch.
• Kevin of Cato Meridian noted that a brake light switch failure with an IC had caused the brake light to stay on over weekend which caused excessive heat from the bulb melted the plastic housing and exposed it to a possible fire hazard. The “Truck light” self-contained units were noted.
• Jeff of JD advised that they are still in construction mode with their bus garage with many items unfinished.
• Terry of N Syracuse, TCM failures were discussed due to moisture, Rob noted that they a three year warranty now on these units. He also noted that his district was approached for lift inspection and advised the company offing the lift inspection that if there was a charge he would need approval beforehand, they left with no response.
