Thank you to, New York Bus Sales for sponsorship and refreshments for this meeting.

Reading of the minutes of the Central Chapter, 19 November 2014 meeting was presented for approval. Motion made to accept as read, seconded, and accepted.

Treasures report submitted and read for approval by Treasurer Dan Elderbroom,
Motion made to accept as read, seconded, and accepted. Copy is on file with secretary.

Old Business; Phone book delay was discussed with plans to start printing, reported by George Toper

New Business;
• The annual donations where discussed with a motion to send $1000.00 donations each to Ronald McDonald House and Golisano Children’s Hospital. Seconded and accepted.
• The repeated request to have Central Chapter checks #333 cashed has produced no results; motion made to stop payment on this check and returns the funds to the checking account. Motion was seconded and accepted.

Committees:
• WEB Page: No issues were reported, new page layout has had mixed opinions, the request for a data input person has a possible applicant report next meeting.
• Summer Seminar; Discussion on the venue of the Summer Seminar location, Dan Elderbroom presented the information on three possibilities. With two of them that would not be able to fulfill the needed requirements. When Dan presented the information he and Jason Johnson had received it was decided to go ahead with preparing a contract for the “On Center” for the 2015 Summer Seminar. There will be some requirements added such as; catered sit down lunch, free parking, and all displays will be inside, the estimated attendance of 600 or more.
• Sick Call; None reported
• State HMA; No report was submitted from the President of the State NYHMA at this time.

NYSDOT; No representative was able to attend this meeting.

Vendor Information;
• Bus Parts Warehouse presented the new designed wheel chair on board decal, this new design will be installed on all new production, and when replacing the new style needs to be used. Any more information needed contact Shelle.
• Leonard Buses Paul noted that they have been having some issued with “Ghost Codes” with some of the unit they have. New update has appeared to take care of this issue. Any questions contact Paul.
• Gary Dixon from “Wurth USA” introduced himself, welcome to him.
• John Sager of Superior Lubricates noted that his company has created their own old “oil collection” operation and also began a “Parts Cleaner” service. For a complete report services, products and on pricing contact Superior Lubricates or John. John also noted that they are preparing for possible drop in oil prices this coming month.
• Matthews Buses, Jerry Williams presented a report on the progress of the new facility and of the administration changes to the operation of service writing and other section.

Round Table:
• Lowville CSD, Paul inquired on any and all information for the operations of propane fueled buses, His district is considering them for their operations. Discussion took place pros and cons of the operations and fuel cost of supplying filling station. With an offer from the attending bus companies present to offer further information.
• Cato-Meridian, Kevin has offered (air spoilers) that they have removed from their units; he has 6 that are available. If you’re interested contact Kevin.
• Lansing, Don found an issue with the accelerator pedal operation to exhaust brake operation, Don explained the issue and some ideas were presented, Jerry of Matthews noted that they have also found some issues, Jerry noted that he will do some further research on this problem and report back.
• Liverpool CSD, Dan has found an issue with Wagner bulb 4656 that will NOT fit in the standard housing, and bezel, if you find this issue, contact your supplier for replacement bulb, for further info contact Dan.
• George secretary information requested that if you know a local district or with in your district of position changes where the email address is changing please contact the Central Chapter NYHMA so this information can be updated. Also for those that are not receiving this information through email and wish to, contact the central chapter at centralchapterhma@live.com,

Next meeting will be sponsored by Bus Parts Warehouse on 14 January 2015 to be held at Barbagallo’s Restaurant E. Molloy Rd East Syracuse.

Motion made for adjournment of this meeting, seconded, and accepted.

The meeting was turned over to NYBS and Sound Off representative Marc Riccio.
Mark gave a presentation of the their products, the operation of warranty, what had taken place with NY DOT when the operations and advantages of LED lighting was presented, discussion on issues when these lamps are returned as unable warranty, and above all the issue of over tighten the mounting screws, type of screws, and other information.
Marc did an excellent job at clearing some of these issues up and what is to be expected in the future product line of their company.
