Round Table:
• Dan noted a unit that continuously attempted to go into regeneration, they had found the DPF plugged, they sent the DPF to Stadium for cleaning, and were informed that the DPF was defective, after conferring with NYBS and Cummins it was stated that it was cleanable and was accomplished. It was noted that with the learning of these systems that there are different variables on each unit, so each has to have the specification checked when checking for operation and cleaning. Discussion took place on this subject with some ideas offered. It was noted that more training on this technology would be helpful from the manufacture. Spring work; on some of their units have come under scrutiny from the DOT as wedges are being installed to replace OEM cotter pins on the spring hangers when spring service is being completed.
• Vic noted that they have an issue of DEF plugging up at the valve, he felt that the cause of this being contamination is not completely true as he has a completely new dispensing system that is sealed and still having an issue. He also noted that the check valve spring failure is becoming more common. Bus cameras with Hard Drives are also failing more often now, it was questioned if others are having this problem, a few did note they had. He also noted that the Allison fuel saving adjustment made with the transmission is not working out as well expected. John Johnston noted that there will be some changes on this in the near future and an opinion offered for economy or power.

Next meeting will be held by Superior Lubricates at their facility on 6485 Ridings Road, Syracuse.

Motion made for adjournment of this meeting, seconded, and accepted.
