Meeting called to order by Central Chapter president Ed Hess.

Pledge of Allegiance was suspended, as no flag was present.

Reading of the minutes of the Central Chapter, 20 May 2009 meeting were presented for approval. Motion made, seconded, and accepted. Read by acting secretary Thomas Scott.

Treasures report submitted and read for approval by acting Treasure Thomas Scott, motion to accept as read, seconded and accepted. Due to summer seminar information the transactions through out the summer are not listed.

Committees:
· WEB Page: Page is up and running and is being used by more members, there will be a link to DOT established, a presidents page is being organized, and more registered members are being added. ALL registered members are requested to be sure your information is updated for correct data. Reported by Harlan Pudney Jr. & Bob Duquette
· Summer Seminar; Report is to be submitted to the State chapter soon and reported to Central Chapter. There has been a request to update the vendor and registration forms for next years Summer Seminar. The evaluation forms report is attached with a report on averages of all received evaluations with comments. A web page addition is being considered for a scrolling window of contributing vendors to show the HMA appreciation.
· Sick Call; None reported
· BEP; The Web page is up and running and ALL are again requested to check your information for correct data.
· State HMA; Fire suppression was discussed again, the laws are in place but still on hold until all lines are considered. Discussion on the requirement that all lighting is LED to standardize and to bring the ampere requirement down on the alternators. Discussion on requirement that all buses have a standardized manufactured design, state wide. All bus seats will be required to have “High Backs” as of 10-21-09. State DOT regulations will be updated and available soon. Wabasco & Aux heaters and there requirements were discussed.

Vendor Information;
· LBS = 2007-2008 DT466 Fuel Recalibration, check with them on codes and series numbers to be sure your unit have been done.
· NYBS = There is a recall on some Cummins “Red” engines check with Cummins or your reps to see if your units are effected.
· NOCO = Offered information on new fuels (E-10) and the problem that maybe encountered. There was a lot of information presented on storage and shelf life, more information is available contact Jim. A change in their policies of “Used Oil” was discussed. Contact Jim Lee @ NOCO if you have questions, 800-229-6626-Ext-5435
· K100 = Marty offered information on their product and offered to meet with anyone interested in learning more.
· D&W = Del Wayne introduced himself and also offered and alterative to the fuel problems that have been encountered, contact D&W if you have questions.

Round Table:
· Kevin; Expressed his dislike to any consideration of a “Consolidation effort” of the BOCES program, noting many problems he had encountered after the last attempt in his district. Discussion on this proposal took place on statewide bus specifications and BOCES saying they have the ability to take over all purchasing of parts & buses.
· Vic; noted that the problems he has had with the Cummins oil dip stick problems and what has been done to correct this. Discussion followed.
· Bob; Liverpool introduced his new shop foreman Jerry Ratliff and he will be attend these meeting if Bob is not available.
· Discussion on the red light issue and the amp draw of lights between Led and standard bulbs.
· Adam: noted that 10 to 12 years old 444’es are showing signs of a wiring problem, he recommends that you do not condemn the wiring or ecm until the exhaust back presser circuit and sensor are checked.
· Don; Noted that he has had some problems with the transmission cooler line that attach at the base of the radiator, there is a failed washer causing the problem and purchase the said was is almost impossible, an alternative repair was offered and other ideas presented.
· Keith; C-2 false engine warning light that said to stop engine, testing showed that unit had to be road tested further to receive proper code, problem is still being researched. Manifold cooling manifold ball valve found to be in terrible condition due to road grime.
· Undercoatings of new buses were discussed and the other companies that offer this type of service.
· Rub rails and end caps were covered by NYBS and a fix is being established.
· Sanitizers and wipes were discussed with special note that alcohol is not recommended. Discussion took place on requirements.

Next meeting will be 18 November 09 sponsored by United Auto Supply with a planned location at Facility. Secretary will notify everyone through email and /or web page.
