Meeting called to order by Central Chapter 1st Vice-president Kevin Dattler.

Pledge of Allegiance was suspended due to lack of flag.

Thank you to Matthews Buses, for sponsorship and refreshments for this meeting and ESM transportation department for the use of their facility for this meeting.

Reading of the minutes of the Central Chapter, 17 March 2010 meeting were presented for approval. Motion made to accept as read, seconded, and accepted.

Treasures report submitted and read for approval,
Savings $4517.35, which includes Summer Seminar attendance and Vendor registrations. Checking $1212.14, check # 224 for morning of meeting refreshments, Checks received 4 = $230.00, 1 Company and 3 school Districts. Motion made to accept as read, seconded, and accepted.

Old Business; the vice- president reminded everyone of up coming election of the offices of 2nd Vice-president and treasurer and or secretary. Elections are to take place at the May 2010 meeting. Two nominations were presented for consideration of the office of 2nd Vice-president Don Brown of Lansing and Keith Sutliff of Cortland.

New Business; Discussion took place on moving checking and savings to Core CU. More information will be researched.

• Summer Seminar; Summer Seminar information has been sent out and mailing will take place soon. Report of 7 vendors registered was presented, seven School Districts registration have been received. DOT, DMV and other state officials will be set up thru vendor room.
• Sick Call; None reported
• State HMA; Harlan noted Fire Suppression and regulations up date is expected soon. Board of Directors meeting planned for 25 May 2010 at Liverpool Transportation center.

DOT; No report was not in attendance.

Vendor Information;
• Metro Mobility new facility is on schedule for May 1st of 2010 and new paint booth is still planned for June 2010. Submitted by Ron. Thanks to Ron and Metro Mobility for their assistance in a problem encountered at ESM with trouble shooting and parts delivery with in 24 hours of ordering.

Round Table:
• Jerry – Liverpool, Cat C-7 clutch fan bearing failure was discussed, indicators have been vibration and noise. Horn button failure less the 10000 miles, appears to be spring tension problem.
• Spring u-bolts torque pressure was discussed, 380 to 420 is the magic number.
• Air Ride arms are not always an alignment issue, when found to be riding and wearing the front mount loosens and reposition and then re-torque.
• 2005-06 Valve cover gaskets cost were discussed. $200.00
• Cummins if the regeneration is prolonged and it passes the flashing yellow warning light and goes RED the warranty will be void.
• Particulate Filter life is expected to be 200,000 miles.
• Changing cycle time on Cummins from 14 mph to 5 mph will change the regeneration need.
• Fuel filters should be installed dry to stop contaminates, PM 6 months and 1 year.
• Do to technical problem with recorder not all information in round table was recorded and some data was lost and maybe incomplete.

Next meeting will be sponsored by D&W Diesel of Auburn and possible combined meeting with Finger Lakes, Southern and Southwest chapters. Meeting is to be at D&W Facility in Auburn on 19 May 2010.

Summer Seminar is scheduled for July 22 2010 at Holiday Inn Thruway exit 37, lots of good information is to be presented. Please plan to attend and submit your registration form as soon as possible.
