Committees: 
WEB Page: need more activity, and keeping it current. Only some vendors have been putting info on. Jason and his wife will help anybody post on the website. No spam has been found lately 
Summer Seminar; Great success 90% positive. 630 people. Complaints were drinks not cold, and mix up at lunch because a class was not let out on time, and people went to tables first, like prior years, instead of starting at the food line Next year is July 21, 2015 
Sick Call; None reported 
State HMA; 
Luggage compartments was recently brought up about the requirements where we can put the outside luggage compartments on busses. It was stated that we could no longer put an external luggage compartment below the emergency side door due to when luggage door was open, it blocked the emergency from opening. This was brought to DOT by NHITSA. It was a hot topic and talked about for a while. It was brought to the attention of DOT that the doors can be adjusted so they only open at a 90 degree opening.DOT was unaware of this and they are in talks with NHITSA to remedy this new ruling. Currently all bus vendors will make sure the doors going forward only open 90 degrees. So to us, business as normal, till we hear anything else.
Accident reporting There are new guidelines being put in place for accident reporting. Next meeting they will have further reporting.
Facility reviews They are putting together a new facility inspection. Something in the nature of looking at our facilities to make sure lifts are up to standards and shop is safe.
Operator profiles 2800 operators in NYS, 55 operators met the enforcement threshold that was instituted as of this year. 29 schools received warning letters that said they needed to improve their profiles by 9/30/15. DOT will not have results till end of October
Bus Net In the process of revamping Bus Net for inspectors. Possibly rolling out 3rd or 4th quarter of 2016, will be web based system, paperless distribution of inspection reports. More to come......

NYSDOT; no one present

Vendor Information;
Leonard Bus Rob Frost reported that a fuel line on Cummins is cracking and making for hard starting. Mark Ingram introduced Billy Harvey as their new outside parts sales.
Wurth USA Gary Dixon reported that they offer a diesel particulate spray application to help clean DPF. Spay in air filter just before regen.
NYBS George Darling They now offer a gas engine for their large busses

Round Table: Dan Elderbroom reported that they had a washer come loose on their electric entrance door on Blue Birds causing door to stop working. When washer fell off the gear on the motor falls off, also on D3 busses the amp probe on battery cable get corroded with salt and splits open, it is located behind drivers front steer wheel behind some air lines. Some busses sitting over the summer, D3, did not have any power, found transmission needed to be reflashed and had to replace 2 ECM's,
Keith Sutliff reported a 2011 C2 with cummins engine that the bus was bucking, found ports in the DPFE were plugged, cleaned out and working fine
Scott Sweeney reported on Blue Bird drivers window stop are splitting when window is slid forward
Ed Hess asked if schools were getting extended warranties for their busses
George Toper Needed a special washer that needed to be shipped in, called around on phone list and found one in stock at another school. Saved time he could get his bus up and running, and when washer came just replaced from school he borrowed from.
Adam Frymoyer reported a lot of emission problems, EGR valves and coolers, also cam follower wearing on Maxx Force engine. Has new elected board members and they are asking about propane busses, discussed who was using them and how they were working out.

Next meeting will be sponsored by D&W Diesel on November 18, 2015 at there location
Motion made for adjournment of this meeting, seconded, and accepted.
