How To Edit Your Profile for the NYHMA Map

The NYHMA Member Map is installed and working. Each user will need to check his/her setting to ensure that they are displayed on the map correctly.

1: Begin by logging in on the home page.

2: Click the user control panel link

3: Next Click the UserGroups Tab

4: Now check to make sure you are set to the correct chapter Group. You will find the Groups you are a member of in the section that says Memberships

5: If you are a member of the correct chapter group go to step # 9. If you are not a member of a Chapter Group go to step # 7. If you are a member of the wrong chapter group: Select the group you do not belong to

6: Once you have selected the group you want to be removed from scroll to the bottom of the page. Change the select box to say Resign Selected and then press Submit. You will be asked to confirm your removal after that wait for the page to refresh.

7:To Join a Chapter Group Select the group you wish to join from the Non-Memberships portion of the page

8: Scroll to the bottom of the page. Change the select box to say Join Selected and press Submit. You will be asked to comfirm the change after that wait for the page to refresh.

9: Now that you are a Member of the correct chapter group you need to click the Edit NYHMA Map Settings tab in the user control panel.

10: You must enter the address you want to shown at in the Set your Location Box. Then click the Find it button. The map uses google maps to encode your address if your address cannot be encoded you will get an error. If you have problems with your address try going to http://www.maps.google.com and entering it in google may give you a suggestion of how your address should be entered. If your address is encoded correctly it will be marked on the map below the find address button.

11: Choose whether or not you wish to be shown on the map

12: Now click Submit and you will be displayed on the Map
